Next 15th of March The Riot Ensemble will premiere the new version (an extended version) of my piece Cenizas de un madrigal triste.
This piece was commissioned by The Riot Ensemble in 2014, to be part of a project focus around Henri Dutilleux’s Les Citations (a piece for oboe, percussion, contrabass and harpsichord).
This year, at the centenary of Dutilleux’s birth, The Riot Ensemble will return to music based around Les Citations. They will be giving a world premiere from Nathan Shields, other Riot Ensemble commissions from Ken Hesketh & Chris Roe, Arlene Sierra’s Petite Grue, the new version of my piece and of course Les Citations itself.
